We are embarking on our first branding/design adventure with musical genius duo The Sound of Bailey. David Bailey and Producer Nick Crofts create an incredibly mellow thought provoking sound which the robot badger likes to listen to deep underground in his robot den. Straight off the back of the Frank Turner Video, robotbadger.com:music tuck into the musical feast that is James Yuill's newest track "No Pins Allowed". The Video shot entirely on digital stills put Aliex back in the director's chair with Mike chopping it together in the edit suites of Platform Post Production. One day shoot, one day edit and a quick grade make No Pins Allowed the fastest turn around video we have done. Having said that the final vid does not suffer for the fast delivery.
It's totally surreal and definitely qualifies as a touch scary but I wont say any more than that, mainly as it's not finished yet and I don't want to spoil it. Watch this space.

Frank Turner's "Reasons not to be an Idiot" is finished. Check it out in Music Videos. Frank couldn't actually be in it because he was on tour so we built a puppet and got to work. Producer and puppeteer Aliex Yuill built and brought the wire and mod roc Frank to life while James Yuill played along to the track in some very odd positions to get the puppet to appear to be playing along. It was pretty tricky to say the least.
On the techie side of things it was shot in HD on the new XDEX1 by Will Peverett and onlined and graded in the Smoke suite of Platform Post Production by Director and Editor Mike Holliday. The character based scenes were shot on a digital stills camera to give them the 'stop frame' look and comp'd with the cardboard fx in the Smoke in the final edit. All additional graphics were created in Photoshop and animated in (you guessed it) the Smoke suite. It was a lot of fun to make although tricky to turn around with out schedule so we hope you like it!
